Disclaimer - if you go to visit Union Cemetery please be respectful, while I was visiting I had the privilege to speak with an elderly groundskeeper who proudly told me that 3 generations of his family were buried there. He explained this is why he chooses to volunteer his time maintaining the landscape of the #cemetery itself. When I asked him about the alleged ghost stories, he shared that they have caused countless tourist to come some over the years, some of which even vandalized the headstones (from the 1700s) 😡. This is why the cemetery now closes at 6PM and is monitored by law enforcement regularly. So please be respectful to both those buried there and also their families.
