Tensions are growing in Greece between police and migrants. Dozens of asylum seekers squatted on the tracks of Athens' main railway station shouting "Open the borders" on Friday. Hours earlier, Greek police fired tear gas to disperse migrants who had gathered in a field near the country’s border with Northern Macedonia in the hope of making their way illegally up through the Balkans toward northern Europe. Since Thursday, hundreds have been arriving at a remote field, galvanized by online rumors calling for an organized movement to cross Greece's border with Albania this month.
