I use Goodreads to track the books I devour every year, and while I don't put a ton of stock in "star ratings," giving a book 5 stars mean something! Books that earn a 5-star review from me push, provoke, challenge or inspire me in ways that leave a significant impression. So in this video, I comment on all the 5-star (non-fiction) titles I read in 2024. There's a wide range of books here, but some especially good work in biblical studies, history and theology. At the end, I name my totally-subjective "book of the year," which is the book that has left the most significant imprint on me over the course of my whole reading experience in 2024. Enjoy!
