People's Action Party (PAP) candidate Dr Vivian Balakrishnan has shared a personal story about his mother who had to deal with hardship and was always worried about finances. The comments came during an online chat for Holland-Bukit Timah GRC and Bukit Panjang SMC. Dr Balakrishnan was responding to a question from a resident, who had asked why more money cannot be taken out of reserves and added to the Net Investment Returns Contribution (NIRC) to dispense to Singaporeans during trying and unprecedented times.
