Welcome back everybody, in today's video I wanted to start a series in which I give my reasoning for why a team could win the 2020 NBA championship - beginning with the LA Lakers. To be clear, this is not my actual pick to win the title, this is simply me outlining how it could happen for the Lakers. So coming into this season, everyone wanted to see how well the Lakers would play with LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way... with little depth behind them. And somewhat surprisingly, they've been fantastic in the regular season. Frank Vogel has gone a great job as head coach, they're one of the best defensive teams in the league, both Davis and James are legit top 5 MVP candidates, and they're finding ways to get contributions from players like Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, and Alex Caruso... making them legit championship contenders. In this video, I go through the pros and cons of the Lakers championship chase this year, and lay out what the path to actually winning the 2020 NBA title would look like.
