Aerospace's Dr. Malina Hills, senior VP for the Space Systems Group, presented to the California Senate Select Committee on Defense and Aerospace and the Assembly Select Committee on Aerospace in 2016 on challenges facing women and underrepresented minority groups when pursuing STEM careers.
#ChooseToChallenge is the theme of International Women’s Day 2021. It reminds us that gender equality still faces many challenges, and we can all help choose a brighter future. In lucrative and rewarding STEM fields, only 24 percent of jobs are held by women, and that needs to change. Aerospace is committed to actively challenging negative stereotypes and false perceptions surrounding women in STEM, and to fostering a love of STEM in children and teens from all walks of life.
