This video has a couple of firsts for me. Number 1 shooting on Cinestill 800T film and number 2 doing long exposure photography on film. For those of you who don't know Cinestill 800T is the hypebeast of film stocks because of its super unique look. The tungsten balance and red halation gives it a one of a kind cinematic vibe.
The most intimidating aspect of this shoot for me was taking long exposure photos. I've done it on digital camera but that offers a lot of room for trial an error. It's not a luxury that I had with a $20 roll of Cinestill 800T and it was my first time shooting long exposures on film. I could only watch so many YouTube videos before I just had to say screw it and try it for myself. Not going to lie I'm kind of impressed with myself and the results I got...not so subtle brag. I think I made some of my favourite photos ever and I have to give some credit to the vibe of Cinestill. I love the colours that come out of this film from the cooler temperature to the red halation. I'm really looking forward to making more photos with this film stock!
Thanks for watching!
