If you have done on-board computer scan after seeing check engine light on the dashboard and your car is showing any of these error codes P229F P229E P2201 it means that genuine NGK NOX sensor probe has failed and needs to be replaced.
We have prepared a guide how to fix faulty Nitrogen Oxide sensor.
Here is what our video covers:
• Remove faulty control unit from your VW vehicle
• Prepare your tools (cutter, tape, Knife, soldering and other required tools)
• Pull down black protection rubber so that you could get enough access to carry on with work and make sure it is tightly gripped.
• Split cables (DO NOT cut all wires at the same location, cut them in different length for proper fix.)
• Use heat shrink tubes for proper fix and put tubes on each of the wire.
• Get a new NOX sensor probe from Xenons4U and Gently wrap up its connectors with the old probe.
• Use soldering tools and metal each cable's connection to make sure this fix lasts for a long time.
• Move heat shrink tubes on the soldered places, apply heat and let them surround soldered places properly and wait a few minutes until it is cooled down.
• Fit it back to your car.
