Rogers Tulips have flowered beautifully this spring, and after dead heading a month or so back (as shown in this video [ Ссылка ] ), the plants now look totally dead ...
but the bulbs underneath are very much alive, and now need to be allowed to have a rest (they will be dormant from early summer when we recorded this video until mid autumn) and they need to remain dry during those dormant months, so we are going to try putting the bulbs into a dry garage for a few months.
We have found that leaving the bulbs outside in the soil here in Wales does not help them as our Welsh summers are too wet, so we need to go through this process to increase the chances of the bulbs growing well again next year.
