Manoj Kumar Sharma is an IPS officer from the 2005 batch, currently serving as an Inspector General in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). He hails from a humble background in Chambal, a region once notorious for dacoity. Manoj's journey to the Indian Police Service is inspirational, as he overcame significant challenges, including multiple attempts at the UPSC Civil Services Exam, finally clearing it on his fourth try. His struggles were chronicled in the book "Twelfth Fail" by Anurag Pathak, which was adapted into a 2023 film starring Vikrant Massey.
