Lataji ke theatre artist aur classical singer father, Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar ne unhe bachpan se hi music sikhana start kar diya tha. By the time she was 5, unhone apne father ke likhe plays mein acting bhi karni start kar di thi!

Aur bas itna hi nahi, Asha Bhonsle, Usha Mangeshkar, Meena Khadikar and Hridaynath Mangeshkar, saare ke saare bhai behen went onto become accomplished musicians as well.

Lataji ke 8 decades ke singing career mein unhone 5,000 se zyaada gaane gaaye hain in more than 1000 films across languages!

Toh surprise mat hona yeh jaanke that in 1974 she held the Guiness Record of being the most recorded artist in the history of Indian music!

Such an impressive career no?
