Recently there has been some discussion if dual memory card slots are needed for working photographers. And how unwise it might be to use a camera with single card slots only.

Much hype has been made of this, the reality is having an on the fly back-up is useful, but there are obvious ways around this to minimise the risk of data loss. I discuss this issue and why it's valid (at a certain price point), and also a non issue for most users who take reasonable precautions
