According to authorities, security forces and militants are engaged in a gunfight in the Mitrigam district of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on Saturday. They say Pulwama Police and security officers are on the scene.

Further information will be provided later. @JmuKmrPolice, "On Saturday about 5:20 a.m., the Kashmir Zone Police tweeted. Jammu and Kashmir Police provided an update on the operation against terrorists, saying, "During the encounter, one terrorist was killed. His body, however, has yet to be found." Terrorists opened fire on a Kashmiri Pandit named Sanjay Sharma on his way to the local market in the Pulwama district on February 26, according to ANI. He was taken to the hospital but died as a result of his injuries.
