Today we learned about a few plants the native Americans would use as food and for other products and one was called the Sotol plant. Also known as the spoon. We attempted to eat it raw but typically it was buried in the ground with colas and eaten after cooking. Farmer John also said it was a treat to native people the same as ice cream is a treat for us today!
