After agreeing to a truce with Hezbollah, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has indicated that he may accept a pause in fighting in the Gaza strip. “I am ready for a ceasefire at any time”, Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview to Channel 14.
However, at he stressed that he will not accept an end to the war, which is a core Hamas demand. Netanyahu said that with Yahya Sinwar dead, and a ceasefire in Lebanon, conditions have improved for a deal in Gaza. Without going into details, Netanyahu said Israel is doing “many many things” to try to reach a deal.
