A section of sugarcane farmers led by Mr. Richard Ogendo and Andrew Bett protest over Kenya Sugar board's decision to allow sugar barons to import sugarcane and processed sugar from Uganda. They say the country at the moment has excess sugarcane and all the mills are fully operational hence this importation will lead to an abnormal reduction of cane prices that will kill sugarcane farmers in County. They were speaking at Vunduba Hotel in Kisumu County
