Recorded on Aug 21, 2017. This is my video leading up to the moment of totality and trying to capture the surroundings and the atmosphere of Centennial Park that afternoon.
I got a spot right in from of the Parthenon and setup my tripod with a wide shot of the park looking back towards Vanderbilt.
My only regret was that I fiddled with the camera during totality. It was such an amazing site, I felt an overwhelming urge to point the camera at it. In retrospect, I should have left the camera pointing on the ground. Still I think the video gives a good feel for the vibe in the park that day and the sounds of excitement and awe that we all experienced.
