In one of the oldest and most beloved classical ballets, the peasant girl 'Giselle' dies of a broken heart after discovering that her lover is betrothed to marry someone else.

The Bolshoi ballet company is famous for its intense and intimate productions of 'Giselle', which has been enduringly popular since its first performance.
