This is the only doctor that I look forward to visiting. The last time I tried to film this in 2017, Tom Sampson hit a tree going at least 30mph. After riding out of the woods under his own power, we went directly to the hospital in Gunnison to learn that Tom had fractured his elbow and wrist. That was first run for Tom, and this is first run for Chris Boice. Tom needs to get redemption one day, but for now, Chris gets to experience this Crested Butte classic for the first time. Doctor Park is probably regarded as the favorite in the area. The high-speed aspen sections on this trail put a smile on my face every time. Nothing quite like a visit to the Doctor.
