The USACE, in support of FEMA, installs emergency temporary power to critical facilities after a declared natural disaster. After Hurricane Ida struck Louisiana USACE installed its first generator on August 31, at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home. Assessment & installation priorities include hospitals, medical facilities, and nursing homes. So far 82 installs have been completed with 0 installs pending as well as 192 assessments completed.
