There was a sudden surprising information on February that KJM WDP-4D 40226 was converted to Bleed blue Avatar with a pic of the locomotive, newly repainted and standing at Krishnarajapuram (KJM) shed. Later in the ending of that month, the loco was brought to service after repainting.
The trailing EMD i.e 40358 was attached, since the new Bleed blue WDP-4D was under testing and observation and in such situations requirement of another loco is a must for any kind of emergencies.
Satisfied and Happy to see the new avatar of KJM WDP-4D !!! Also to add, 40226 was the first ever Dual Cab EMD to be alloted to KJM Shed in the year 2014. There are some few Dual cab locos considered for repainting into typical bleed blue avatar !!! #indianrailways
