vectric aspire and vcarve pro are the most common softwares used for cnc routers worldwide now.
however they do not support advanced things like gang drilling or optimisation as standard.
i have devised a work around for this by editing the tool number of a tool.
the leading number allows my bespoke software to gang drill from the vectric interface.
software developed in c# for uccnc pc based controller.
will be tested on my development machine. the drill bank controlled over 2 wire system via modbus.
obviously using this method the code for the machine can be output from any cad/cam software.
