Chhattisgarh is undergoing the second and final phase of the assembly elections for 72 seats spread across 19 districts on Tuesday amid tight security. Over one lakh police personnel have been deployed to ensure tight security as over 1.5 crore voters exercise their franchise to decide the fate of nearly 1100 candiates, including 72 each from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress party. As many as 19,296 polling booths have been set up for the second phase. The first phase of polling was held in 18 seats of eight Naxal-affected districts on November 12.
