How to check & enabled GPU Acceleration for image export because it is not always automatic! Adobe has enabled GPU Acceleration for image export in Lightroom Classic (LRC). However, this is not always enabled by default. This video will go over some of the criteria why your computer might not be utilizing GPU Acceleration to aid image export, i.e. machine with 8GB RAM for both M1 and M2. How to check and enable this feature to speed up export time. Instruction below and in the video.
Click on Lightroom Menu - Preference or CMD + ;
Click on the Performance tab.
In the first box at the top read the GPU Text. If it say "Your system automatically support limited acceleration." This means GPU Acceleration is not enabled by default. To enable this. Click on the drop list next to Use Graphic Processor, choose Custom and put a check mark in the 3 box that shows up below.
