Vultures are one of the few birds that lack a syrinx (the vocal organ that allows birds to sing). Instead, vultures make a range of hisses, grunts, and croaks to communicate with one another.
Some species of vultures, such as the Egyptian vulture, have been observed using tools to access food. For example, they may use rocks to crack open eggs or shells to access the contents inside.
