The longest Porsche is 31.25 m long, rides on steel wheels and actually was built by Škoda in Pilsen! Well, okay, the Porsche Design Studio is responsible for the sleek exterior appearance of this series type and hence these trams are known as Porsches.
Not quite a sports car, this streetcar still accelerates well and looks the part in the urban environment of Prague. Aside from its snazy styling, what sets the 14T apart is also is also the excellent accoustic factor with very distinct engine sound. Officially designated as Škoda and sometimes also referred to as "Elektra", the silver and red trams sound quite different than the other light rail vehicles in the Czech capital. A total of 60 such partially low-floor trams were built for Prague between 2006 and 2009. The only other European cities to feature such Porsche trams are Brno and Wrocław.
