Life can change in an instant, and for me, that moment was September 11, 2001. As a young father, I felt an undeniable calling to serve and protect my country. War took a toll on both my body and mind. I returned home physically injured needing surgery, and mentally scarred, diagnosed with PTSD. The medications I was given left me feeling like a shell of myself, and I struggled to perform my duties. I hit rock bottom, making multiple attempts on my life, and turned to anything that could ease the pain. I've fought many wars each bout has left me broken with less fight for the next. Today I face the hardest war yet the “what” is no longer enough so I’m Searching for the “Why.”Searching for Purpose is my journey where I hope to find motivation, and ultimately rediscover my purpose.
