Crossrail, an international private railway company design and operate famous Re 4/4 (modification name Re 436). HAG model trains has brought out both machine which Crossrail lovely call Sara and Zita.

I modified the original HAG with ESU LokSound digital decoder mount on professional constructed interface. This from MBT (Paolo Spangaro) designed interface contains also the LED lightning system which is well prepared. I'm very impressive how detail the information the company provided.

As both locomotion runs always together I use the Viessmann 5071 current-conducting coupling for better contact between track and locomotions. This make a much more smooth run over long turnouts and dust problems on track.

So, I am very confidence to say, with this upgrade the HAG model is more attractive on my little model world.


Note for installation the MBT PCB.

-- work carefully in time and patience

-- cover the plexiglas light strips with felt or black tape

-- check position of contact spring when you put together the motor unit with the body
(if you not sure, take off the contact spring and use wire to connect)

-- clean soldering is required by remove the contact bridges on PCB
(e.g. close the light between the against each other cockpits at double traction or use different digital decoder)
