We were lucky to see Jatobazinho, who is currently he is living in a large, 1-hectare enclosure, where he is going through a training process to learn how to hunt and - eventually - return to live free in nature. His destiny is being carefully managed by the Onçafari Rewild program, recognized for working with Isa and Fera, two Jaguar sisters that lost their mother in a tragic accident, and are now successfully living in the wild. The plan is for Jatobazinho to be released in the Iberá Wetlands region in Argentina as part of a Jaguar reintroduction project being undertaken there. Shy and secretive, seeing Jatobazinho so clearly is supposedly a very rare occurrence.
