The Jakarta International 10K is classified as a sports race that is owned by the capital city, Jakarta, through Dinas Olahraga dan Pemuda Provinsi DKI Jakarta (DISORDA) since the year 2004 up until now. The Jakarta International 10K Run Competition is a Road Race Run event along the 10 Kilometers, which will take place in one of the main streets in Jakarta City and the National Monuments of the Republic of Indonesia, it has also been approved formally since 2004 through a certificate that is handed by the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations), and it happens to be the biggest marathon race in Indonesia with more than 30.000 participants each year. The Jakarta International 10K event is now appointed in the International Athletes' agenda, which makes this event eagerly awaited by the world's international athletes as well as national's and of course, the people of Jakarta to participate and exercise.
