Ronda - the birthplace of polymath "Abbas ibn Firnas", who is an inventor, engineer, aviator, chemist, physician and poet. Abbas ibn Firnas was the first man to fly successfully, constructed a device which indicates the motion of the planets and stars in the universe, invented reading magnifying glasses and manufacturing procedure for making colourless glasses.
Ronda is known for the spectacular view of Puente Nuevo de Ronda (Ronda new bridge) which is a cliff side stone bridge spanning the gorge. Ronda is also called the birthplace of bullfighting 🇪🇸🐂
