I've wanted to visit the ancient site of Gobekli Tepe near Sanliurfa in South Eastern Turkey for many years but have been unable to do so due to both the war in Syria and then Covid19 so when the opportunity arose to get there in 2022 I took the chance. Gobekli Tepe is around 12000 years old so 7000 years older than Stonehenge and was only discovered in 1994 by archaeologist Klaus Schmidt.
