This is assuming you connected the positive wire to a power source like your rear tail light already. This video demonstrates specifically how important and fundamental it is to have a good ground to the frame of a car in order for a backup car camera to work and function properly.
Only 4 🧰 Tools or supplies are needed:
1) Sand Paper: [ Ссылка ] OR Wire brush Set [ Ссылка ]
2) Butt splice [ Ссылка ]
3) Tap screw that fits in the butt splice hole (Buy in store too much online)
4) Black Electrical Tape: [ Ссылка ]
INSTRUCTIONS:
Remove the paint by sanding it down to get to the bare metal (this provides the strong ground connection).
Then place the wire which should be in a butt splice connector on the scratched up area.
Finally drive a tap screw into place. This secures it from movement.
To provide additional protection, cover it up with electrical tape, and bundle up the wires with a zip tie, and then tuck it away.
ℹ️ This video was made because most videos do not explain when installing a rearview backup camera on how to correctly ground the black or ground wire to your car.
