"In November 2022, the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt hosted the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 27), with a view to building on previous successes and paving the way for future ambition to effectively tackle the global challenge of climate change.
Dr. Olufunso Somorin, Climate Change and Green Growth : Africa is not the reason for climate change yet it is most vulnerable to the problem. So, the response to climate change adaptation programs has to be at skill combined with speed. There is an urgent need for finances in order to scale up the process and projects. Aside from gathering the capital there should be a proper know - how on how to utilize and mobilize the capital. This is exactly where AfDB steps in, by creating instrumental mechanisms through the project. Africa Adaptation Acceleration program in partnership with the global center and adaptation pushes the bottom up approach and makes sure about the involvement in the implementation project.
