This collection, while small, is one of my personal favorites to ever come from the Atelier. The craftsmanship per gown is something noteworthy on its own, managing to push the boundaries of how we interact with fabrics. The Atelier makes a fine example with Eva’s leather (possibly calfskin) gown, where the soft part appears to be dyed a deep night sky blue that peeks out as the model slowly jaunts. The deli-ruffle leather details as well, it is craft and art at it’s finest. The beadwork on these gowns can not go unrecognized either, with 300+ hours of handwork to make each, something Donatella felt the need to mention at any given chance.
