Review of the Realme X3 SuperZoom smartphone, which offers a near flagship experience for just £469 here in the UK. I've been using this as my full-time phone, testing the camera, performance (including PubG Mobile gaming tests), battery life and features, to see if it really is a 'Super Zoom'.
One of the big selling points of the Realme X3 SuperZoom is that camera setup, offering a 5x optical periscope lens. Everyday photo and video quality is good, if not perfect, while you have new features like the Astro mode to play with.
You also get very dependable performance despite the 700-series chipset, helped along by the generous 12GB of RAM. Certainly the likes of PubG play perfectly, while you have dedicated gaming features to help.
Battery life isn't as strong sadly, with the X3 SuperZoom barely scraping through a full day of use on occasion. And not everyone will love Realme UI, which is quite messy in places - although this also adds some worthy features.
So is this a serious affordable alternative to expensive flagships? It should certainly satisfy most users, even quite demanding gamers and camera addicts.
