A new keel design on the Yamaha AR 240 solves a long-standing complaint with all jet-drive sport boats: poor low-speed steering. The keel features an extra sharp edge on the keel, as well as an extended cast-aluminum fin off the aft edge of the keel that turns with the drives. It was designed to help steering at no-wake speeds, but the boat also handles much better at high speeds.
