This is the first mosque in Islam. Its foundation stone was laid by the Prophet himself when he reached Madinah.
There are many mosques in Saudi Arabia which are worth watching. Masjid-al-jinn, Masjid-al-qiblatain and Masjid-al-Quba are some mosques which are worth watching.
The oldest mosque ever is Masjid al-Quba. Quba used to be a town not a long way from Medina. It was manufactured directly after hujra, which is the emigration of the Prophet Muhammad and his companions to the city of Medina in 622 CE. The Prophet and his companions helped building it.
The Quba Mosque has been remodeled a few times by different caliphs ever. The third caliph, Usman ibn Affan, was the first to do as such, trailed by the caliph Omar bin Abdul Aziz, who ordered the development of the first minaret. Abu Yali Al-Husaini constructed a mihrab (a wall in the mosque that demonstrates the supplicating course)
