SVTP tracked down SVT's Chief Nameplate Engineer Jamal Hameedi and asked him to explain how some people have managed bent the frame on their SVT F-150 Raptors. Long story short, the drivers of the trucks in question pushed the vehicle beyond its design limitations. Of the many possible outcomes, the frame bending is the safest way, under the circumstances, for the truck to dissipate the excess energy created by a driver hitting an obstacle improperly or with too much speed.
