Coaches D1 and D2
2S coaches are mainly found in Short Distance Trains, where 2S stands for second seating .
There is no provision of births hence one could not sleep while traveling in these coaches.
Above image shows 2S seating arrangement. Currently you can find two types of coaches. one with same as CC chair arrangement (i.e. 3×2 Seating) without air conditioning. and other is old type this has 3×3 seating arrangement with very uncomfortable seating arrangement(The one in the video). this coach has one extra door at middle on wither sides summing to 6 doors(3 on each sides).
These coaches have a passenger capacity of 108 peoples.There is 12 rows of 3 seat chair on either side from the middle
No Portable device charging facility as it lack sockets.But a hook is provided to hook cloths or hand bags and a compartment for keeping bag is also provided .
Cheapest reservation facility as you are reserved a seat number.
commonly they are assigned as D1/D2 in trains.
Older version have blue cover while newer one have reddish brown seat covering with braille language provision for blind commuters /passengers.
