The Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited an Israeli defence force base near the West bank town of Ramallah on Sunday (20/10).
Later Sunday, Israeli defence minister Yitzhak Mordechai visited Hebron, during which Jewish settlers and Palestinians were involved in a skirmish in the city's marketplace. Mordechai also visited Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem, a controversial monument which is sacred to both Jews and Muslims.
