Hi! On this video, I will show you how to dig down the rose base graft union to find out if the new cane growth is a good cane of the rose that you paid for and expected or if the growth is coming from below the graft bud union, also called rootstock. If the cane is growing from the root stock , it does need to be cut down from the basal point of growth to keep your rose and enjoy for many years. Hope this helps!
