Old farm tires are often a hassle: they take up space and cost money to dispose of. Burning them is illegal and a bad environmental choice: it also creates a mess of metal wire to cleanup. Burying them or putting them in old washouts isn’t the greatest choice but better than letting them get in the way.
Innovators are often coming up with new ways to repurpose farm tires: go ahead and add ‘mineral feeder base’ to that list. A friend of Allen’s gave me the idea and I ran with it - the feeder’s been in the field for 2 weeks+ now and is working great.
