May 17 is the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. The Netherlands stands for equal rights for all. In 1987 the ‘Homo monument’ was erected in Amsterdam. This is the first memorial in the world that commemorates all gay men and lesbians who have been persecuted because of their homosexuality.
With the rainbow flag, we show the community that we are together; we resist, we support, we heal.
