In this mini lesson, we will be answering the essential question: What must I do to “buzz” well with my classmates?
Students will review tracking while reading and then learn how to buzz or talk about books by sharing their thinking with each other. Students will use their ThinkMarks to help them track their thinking while reading. Students will practice and consider parameters for which to buzz within that can be added to the Good Reading Behaviors During Reader’s Workshop Chart hanging in the classroom.
Today’s mini lesson features a book talk on Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry.
