Stop saying ‘bene’!✋🛑🙉When someone asks you ‘come stai?’ (How are you?) try these 5 super-native alternatives instead! Andiamo!
The word ‘bene’ means ‘well’ or ‘good’ and is the most common answer to the question ‘come stai?’ (how are you?) or ‘come va?’ (how’s it going?), that is of course, assuming you want to say that you’re fine.
But there are other alternatives you can use to express different shades of being ‘fine’.
Try these phrases instead!
1. Alla grande! (Everything’s great!)
2. Non c’è male (Not too bad) - Use this when it’s not going particularly good but it’s not bad either.
3. Mai stato/stata meglio (Never been better!) Attenzione! Say ‘stato’ if you’re a male, and ‘stata’ if you’re a female.
4. Non posso lamentarmi (I can’t complain)
5. Tutto a posto (All good, I’m alright)
Which one of these will you start using first? Let me know in the comments!👇💬
