This dining chair is an excellent example of CNC joinery.
This chair gives hope for CNC furniture makers. It shows them that with the right tools they don’t have to settle for the ugly blocky style chairs and furniture that is currently being produced from most cnc bulders.
The traditional dining room chair you see in this video has so many different types of CNC joinery, cut at a variety of tough angles. For this reason, most CNC builders avoid these types of projects.
Cutting all those “normally too tricky” joints are simple and repeatable in the 3 work station CNC shown in the video.
The turning center or 4th axis of the CNC allows you to cut CNC joinery on 4 of the 6 faces of the material removing the studious setups it would have normally taken.
The joinery center allows you to secure your park and any complex angle and mill also sorts of CNC joinery.
The CNC used in the video is a Maverick 3x5 from Legacy Woodworking Machinery.
