See how Northwell Health improved physician satisfaction and patient experience with Nora, a mobile-first virtual assistant for clinicians. This new approach to accessing patient data is embedded in Microsoft Teams and integrated with the health system’s HealthShare-based HIE and four different EMRs. Using Natural Language Processing, Nora answers questions in less than a second, giving direct access to lab results, consult notes, imaging, medications, and live risk scores and predictions. Having access to Nora shortened time to critical treatment and placement decisions during the COVID-19 pandemic. By delivering targeted real-time notifications to clinicians, patient care keeps moving even when the user is not in front of the EMR.
