The area around the intersection of Campbell Station Road and Kingston Pike was designated Mixed Use Town Center (MUTC) on the Future Land Use Map to encourage development of a downtown area, a desire that has long been expressed by Farragut residents. Over the past few years, abandoned buildings at the intersection of Kingston Pike and Campbell Station Road have been redeveloped, and the iconic Campbell Station Inn has been restored and beautified by a new plaza. The Town Center at Biddle Farms project is underway with a mixture of housing, commercial/office and public spaces.
There are other areas designated MUTC on the Future Land Use Map and we’d like to hear your ideas about how they should develop and what new infrastructure is needed. Make plans now to share your thoughts at one of two public meetings at 11:30 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, at the Farragut Community Center (239 Jamestowne Blvd.). An online survey will also be available soon. Watch for updates on Town of Farragut social media accounts and at www.townoffarragut.org
