My review and test of the First Alert Propane/Explosive Gas Detector model GC-01
A total fail from First Alert.
For those who are unhappy about the test done in the video, realize that it comes from the fact that our RV was full of propane gas when we came home late one night, and the First Alert hadn't noticed it. It was mounted in a proper (and low) location, and we would have been dead if we had gone to sleep earlier that night. The gas was from a leak that completely emptied a 5 gallon tank of propane into our otherwise fairly airtight RV/bus.
I suppose if I had died I wouldn't have been able to complain about the failure of the detector.
